Proverbs 22:17 Incline your ear, and hear the words of the wise,
And apply your heart to my knowledge,
18 For it is pleasant if you keep them within you,
If all of them are ready on your lips.
19 That your trust may be in the Lord,
I have made them known to you today, even to you.
20 Have I not written for you thirty sayings of counsel and knowledge,
21 To make you know what is right and true,
That you may give true answers to those sent to you?
David speaks to Solomon, his son. No where else did Solomon get counsel more than from his father. It is therefore our duty to get from the great manual; the Bible nuggets to pass on to our children. Their ways will be prosperous and they will know what is true and right at all times.
You may say, “But the Bible language seems to difficult for my little ones.” Then I would advise you to get them a children’s version or to make your narrations and explanations to them winsome, you’ll be amazed.
