THE PLIGHT OF PREGNANT MOTHERS

When I think of the word journey, my thoughts go to that pregnant woman deep in the village. She has no assurance that she will make it to the next health centre for antenatal help, neither is she sure that she will give birth in a proper health facility.

This is the plight of many women in Africa. The storms they whether are innumerable. They include long journies, ignored health complications as they dread the long trek and the like.

How I pray that the responsible persons will do their part in bringing health facilities closer to the people. Those persons include you and I. Let us do our part to reduce child and mother mortality rate.
