“Come here lass,” screamed her mother.

“You are a good for nothing.”

“There is no value that you add to our lives.”

“Can’t you just fix fix a meal for your sister?”

“I regret why I carried you those long laborious months.”

It is such words that pierce the hearts of our children. These miracles are not valued by how well or how bad they perform a task. Children are different therefore we need to look at them differently. Because your son can not fix a toy does not make him less of a boy. He is as much of a boy as the lad next door, just having different capabilities and interests. Your girl is still a girl even when she does not seem to do the chores well.

Nurture what you see, correct what you think is not okay, but love him or her the way they are.
