When you are growing up, dad said that you are his little princess, mummy pecked you on the cheek everyday and told you that you are treasured. When did all that change? When did it cease to matter that you started to treat yourself like you were for sale to the highest bidder? Did daddy say that you were his puppet or his princess? Did mummy say that she wishes she could sell you off or that she treasured you?
Let us not forget that we have people that treasure us that we end up in positions of disgust. I do not know why you do what you do, but one thing I do know is that you would want those that treasured you then to look at you now and be proud of you. Never ever choose the easy way out because it never has the best of results. Take that long trodden road for I believe that the reason many have kept on taking it is because there is real light at the end of the tunnel.
Value yourself, because even if you feel that no one loves you or minds about you, your Creator does even when you do not believe it. Let those childhood words, ‘you are my little princess, I treasure you’ guide you through that tough time because you want to be worthy to those people at the end of the day.
